JON MAC

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

This policy explains how Jon Mac ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information on thejonmac.com and in the apps and tools we run that connect to services such as Google, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X ("our apps").

What we collect

On this website. thejonmac.com uses no advertising or analytics cookies. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open) to deliver and protect the site, and counts visits without cookies. Some fonts load from Google Fonts and the contact form loads from Typeform, so both receive your IP address.

When you contact us. The "Get in Touch" form asks for your name, email address and message. It is run by Typeform, so what you enter goes to Typeform and to us, and the Typeform Privacy Policy also applies. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send.

In our apps. When an account is connected to one of our apps, we receive only the information and permissions approved on that service's consent screen. Depending on the feature, this can include your name, email address, profile or channel details, access tokens, and the content the feature works with, such as videos, posts, captions, comments, analytics, email messages or calendar events.

How we use it

We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models.

Google and YouTube data

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Some features use YouTube API Services. By using them you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can remove our access at any time from your Google account permissions page.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our apps and this website, such as hosting and AI processing providers, and only so they can do that work for us. We also share it when the law requires it. We never share it so others can market to you.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as the feature you use needs it, or as the law requires. When you disconnect an account or ask us to delete your data, we delete the access tokens and related data we hold within 7 days, unless we must keep something by law.

How we protect it

We store data on systems we control and with our hosting providers, limit access to what each task needs, and use encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

We handle personal information in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act and Canada's PIPEDA.

Delete your data

To have your data deleted, email jon@thejonmac.com with the subject "Delete my data" and tell us which account or email address it concerns. We delete it within 7 days and confirm by email. You can also remove our access at any time in your Google, Meta, TikTok or X account settings.

Where it is processed

We are based in Canada. Our providers may process data in Canada, the United States and other countries.

Children

This website and our apps are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above.
